Pharmexcil to hold its 9th AGM in Hyderabad from Sept 24 to 26, 2013

The Pharmaceutical Export Promotion Council of India (Pharmexcil) is gearing up to hold its 9th annual general meeting for 3 days from 24 to 26th of September 2013 at Marriot Hotel in Hyderabad.

Coinciding the annual event, the council is also planning to organize the CEO conclave and the export and patent awards for outstanding performers from the industry.

Important agenda of the meeting is to revisit the activities of the council during the year 2012 and chart out future course of action based on the outcomes of the earlier programmers, informed Pharmexcil executive director Raghuveer kini.

Apart from this the council is also planning to organanize international pharma business meet where more than 60 prominent buyers/drug regulatory officials from various GCC, West Africa and Arab Countries (Saudi Arabia, UAE, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Jordan, Iran, Egypt, Algeria, Morocco etc.) are expected.

The 3-day programme is divided into five sessions for business meetings including one follow up session. It will have one to one buyer seller meetings among overseas delegates and Indian exporters.

Members will have the option to select any one of Four Business Sessions of their choice to meet the overseas buyers. Follow up session on 3rd day is open to all registered participants.  The council is also planning to organize a meeting with overseas drug regulators including Kenyan FDA which is an important development during this event. Another important programme of the annual meet is the interactive meetings with drug regulators from various countries, Indian drug regulators and exporters where the exporters and other stakeholders will have an opportunity to clear their apprehensions regarding the regulatory issues in other countries.

The 3-day event will also have technical and market promotion Seminars on drug registration procedures of various countries, updates of pharma technologies in India, quality by design etc.  technical seminar on ‘Opportunities in Orphan Drug, is expected to discuss the global government policies and opportunities in development of orphan drugs.

Seminar on IPR and overseas market promotion strategies are also expected to discuss on matters intellectual property rights and strategies of marketing in CIS, LAC, Africa and other focus markets.
